Introduction

Nathaniel Woodard was born on 21st March 1811. This proposal is for a Woodard-wide fundraiser involving all schools of the Woodard Corporation to raise sufficient money (£250,000) to build a Woodard Secondary School in the Rift Valley, Central Province of Kenya to celebrate the bicentenary of Nathaniel Woodard’s birth.

The school will be built by a UK charity called the Kariandusi School Trust (KST). The Trust has much experience of building primary schools in the area and is a charity registered by the Charity Commissioners of England and Wales - Registered No. 1101103. Donations

A specific “Woodard” Charities Aid Foundation bank account has been set up. The details are, CAF Bank (Charities Aid Foundation), Account name: Kariandusi School Trust KST Woodard Account, Account No. 00095977, sort code 40-52-40 which will allow funds to be paid in directly either in person, on line or by sending a cheque made payable to Kariandusi School Trust to Graham Turner, Lindfield House, High Street, Lindfield, West Sussex RH16 2HU. All donations paid in directly to the bank account should be notified by email to Graham Turner so he can acknowledge and thank the donor. Email address turnergra@yahoo.co.uk. We can reclaim gift aid so wherever possible donations from individuals can be increased by signing the gift aid form.

On-line donations to Kariandusi School Trust may also be given via the Just Giving website at www.justgiving.com/kariandusischooltrust Gift Aid is automatically added to donations from UK tax payers. Fundraisers can create their own Just Giving page for a specific fundraising event, eg a sponsored walk.
