Queen Mary’s is a small non-selective school set in a tranquil and caring environment in rural Yorkshire.
Renowned for its family atmosphere, Queen Mary’s has small classes, ideal for ensuring that pupils receive individual academic attention.
With much to offer outside the classroom Queen Mary’s has an excellent reputation for both pastoral care as well as high academic achievement. Music is a major strength throughout the school with the majority of pupils learning at least one musical instrument and with every girl having the opportunity to sing in one of the four choirs.
The school also has a strong commitment to sport offering each student the opportunity to partake in a sporting activity daily, from timetabled games lessons to kayaking.
Many girls take full advantage of the on site stables, with livery available for their own ponies and horses. Lessons are taken at lunch time as well as after school.
Queen Mary’s prides itself in its warm and welcoming atmosphere and its encouragement of all pupils to achieve in all they do.
