A Record Breaking Christmas Bazaar for Abbots Bromley School

The annual Christmas Bazaar held by Abbots Bromley School for Girls and Roch House Preparatory School is always a highly anticipated event in the school calendar and this year pupils were more enthusiastic and enterprising than ever!

Pupils of all ages masterminded and manned a wide variety of stalls and activities including a treasure hunt, a lavish home made cake stall, a beauty and nail bar, handmade crafts and jewellery, tombolas and even a car washing service. The event was opened by the Dowager Countess of Harrowby, whose mother was a former pupil of this school and raised well over £3,000.

"Some people in life make you die a little by sapping your confidence, but there are others that help you to grow, look outward and contribute to life. Abbots Bromley School for Girls is such a place and their Christmas Bazaar reflects this. It has many stalls, some are organised by the girls from the six Senior and four Junior houses, and the Boarders and Leavers too. A percentage of the takings go to Charities of their choice. There is a World Challenge stall too, where the girls raise funds to take part in Charity Challenge events. The school's Christmas Bazaar is one of the highlights of the festive season and I was delighted to be asked to formally open it".
