A team of four Ellesmere College girls recently organised and participated in a sponsored walk in aid of Cancer Research UK.
The four Year 9 pupils were Sarah Wicks, Chloe Prydden, Grace Tomlinson and Francine McSalley-Parsons. They were accompanied by Brian Wicks and Alan Prydden, Sarah and Chloe's fathers. The walk took place from Cross Lanes, Marchwiel to Ellesmere a distance of 11 Miles and was completed in three hours.
The girls collected sponsorship from teachers, fellow pupils and family members and raised in excess of £200 for Cancer Research UK.
Jan Cowan, St Aidan’s House Mistress commented “St Aidan’s House would like to congratulate them on their fortitude and independence and are delighted that they had the initiative and stamina to complete the walk”.
