Ardingly College

Ardingly is one of Britain's finest independent schools, and recently celebrated its sesquicentenary. The spirit of Ardingly is undoubtedly unique. The College is part of the Woodard Corporation, founded to teach the Christian faith. We are a day and boarding school for boys and girls, with a rich mix of country, city, national and international students living and learning together.

Our aim is to enable all boys and girls to develop their love of learning, academic potential and individual talents in a caring community, which fosters sensitivity, confidence, a sense of service, and enthusiasm for life.

Ardingly College is Nathaniel Woodard's ‘Jewel in the Crown', set in 400 acres of outstanding natural beauty in West Sussex, with wonderful facilities, a short journey to London and the major airports. We offer a staggering breadth of activity and first division academic performance to about 490 boys and girls in the Senior School, and just over 830 in the College as a whole. To be part of the Ardingly family is truly a gift for life!

Ardingly combines outstanding A Level performance with the global perspective of the International Baccalaureate; nationally and internationally recognised sport; a creative arts scene, delivered with passion and expertise in a small, happy community, where everyone is known, of committed young boys and girls.

We are currently in a position of strength, with over-subscription and record numbers throughout the three schools. We are full to overflowing, but our class sizes remain small.

Ardingly College is a school, not a soundbite, so please come and visit; you will be warmly welcomed.
